Lung Cancer Awareness With Ady Almanza Image

Hello! Hello! Hello!
I am back with another lung cancer card, but before I tell you about that I want to tell you about a cool experience that I have had through doing this Lung Cancer Awareness month on my blog.

Whenever I do a project, I share it in multiple Facebook groups. One project that I shared in a Cricut group that I am in had several comments...people saying that their parents or other family members have passed away from lung cancer. One comment was from a lady that had lung cancer herself. Of course I commented back...something along the lines of I'm sorry and I will pray for you. Well, over the next couple of days I kept thinking of this woman. I felt compelled to P.M her and tell her about Chemo Angels (an organization that sends out cards to those going through chemo). She was excited to hear about them and we have started chatting. She sent me her address so I could send her cards =)

Ok, on to my card!

This card is featuring a stamp from Ady Almanza's Etsy ShopShe is called Strong Woman

It was about a year ago (I think) that Ady drew this beauty. I saw her and begged her to turn her into a digi. SHE DID! I was so excited.
I colored the image using Copic markers and then fussy cut her.
I had colored her before I knew what papers I was going to use. When I saw the digital papers that Bonnie, from Miss Daisy's Stamps and  We Are 3 digital papers designed for Lung Cancer Awareness month, I was excited to see that she matched perfectly.

I have been doing some research about lung cancer throughout my sisters journey. We have also been working with Genetic Counselors to find out why we have so much cancer in our families. This link has some great information about lung cancer. I hope you will take a few minutes to educate yourself. Lung Cancer is becoming very wide spread. It is known as the silent killer. Usually, because there are no symptoms until it is too late. We need to find a way to screen and discover this cancer in it's early stages so that people have a chance to fight for their life.

I will be sending this card to my new found friend that is fighting lung cancer.

It doesn't take much to touch peoples lives. A simple P.M, card, or even a smile. What will you do today to make someone's day a little brighter?

  1. What a pretty card and so thoughtful of you to send to someone battling this cancer. Hopefully, someday soon, a cure will be found for all cancers.
